Celebrate centuries of Chinese tea culture with this hand-finished koi fish porcelain gaiwan and matching double-layer tea tray, crafted to bring both beauty and function to your daily tea ritual.

Thoughtful Design & Meaningful Symbolism
The set features a bright white porcelain base adorned with hand-applied vivid red koi fish and lush green water grass motifs. In Chinese culture, koi fish symbolize abundance, good fortune, and “nian nian you yu” — meaning surplus and prosperity year after year — making this set a thoughtful gift for any occasion. The gaiwan is finished with delicate gilded detailing along the rim and lid knob, adding a subtle touch of elegance to its classic silhouette.

Practical Dual-Layer Tea Tray
The matching tea tray features a smart double-layer design: a durable, easy-to-clean upper metal draining tray with holes that feeds excess steep water into a lower ceramic holding tank. This design keeps your table dry and tidy, perfect for both dry brewing and casual at-home tea sessions. The tray measures 6.1 inches (15.6cm) long x 1.6 inches (4cm) wide, and holds up to 6.8oz (200ml) of waste water for convenient, mess-free brewing.

Quality Craftsmanship
The gaiwan is crafted from high-fired porcelain with vivid overglaze hand-painted motifs that resist fading over years of use. Porcelain naturally retains heat well for optimal tea steeping, and is smooth and easy to clean after every use. The combination of warm porcelain texture and durable metal draining creates a balanced set that works as beautifully as it looks.

Whether you are an experienced tea enthusiast building your collection, searching for a culturally meaningful gift for a tea lover, or want to add an elegant touch of Chinese style to your home, this koi fish gaiwan set blends traditional symbolism with modern practicality perfectly. It also makes a stunning decorative display for your coffee table, bookshelf or tea cabinet when not in use.
